Namish Studio, a retail store for women’s traditional Indian apparel is a contemporary take on the opulence of traditional Indian women’s wear. The use of golden accents over an elegant, muted, yet richly textured palette of finishes, puts emphasis on the vibrant products displayed. The elegant earthy colour palette accentuated with golden lines provides for a contemporary and luxurious look and feel. The muted scheme of finishes and colours also allows for the otherwise  vibrant product display to be highlighted. The arches and the chequered flooring take inspiration from traditional Indian architecture and tell the story of inter-twining of Indian art and architecture. The store receives plenty of afternoon sun, which is addressed through the positioning of visual merchandise with a backdrop, which significantly reduces the exposure to direct sunlight, thus reducing the air-conditioning requirement as well as creating an attractive interface for window shoppers.
