Residence at Anand Vihar

The residence at Anand Vihar is retrofit and extension of an existing single storey residence, aimed at catering to demands of a unified family with one generation getting older and a new generation growing. Adding accessibility to a nearly 30 year old residence, adding spaces for living, working, relaxing and bonding, all while maintaining a cost-sensitive and material conscious approach. Using a modern material palette, light wells and landscape courts have been created in an otherwise deep linear plot to ensure adequate daylight reaches the depths of the building, while at the same time providing interactive spaces for the residents.
